We never say no to any dog – mixed breeds, banned breeds, disabled dogs and seniors. We try to rescue them all. Unfortunately, we cannot do that without the public’s continued support.

Primarily, he “points” toward unexpected sounds, particularly knocking, doorbells, rattling/jiggling doorknobs. (Ironically most dogs do this to some extent, but he didn’t until I started training for those sounds). Like I understand the joy of having an encounter with a dog, especially a puppy, and how much it can make you happy, so it makes me happy to be able to do that for any strangers I see in the street who want to say hi to her.
Is this my fault? Can I do anything about this business and their fence? I walk with my kid, the border collie, and the neighbor’s dog every day, and this has never happened.
For the last 4 months he has been very reluctant to play with his toys, maybe he would reach for them once a day for 5 minutes max. He’s now reaching for them multiple times a day and isn’t really settling. We considered that the increase in energy may have been because he was previously used to longer walks of around 1hr30 a day, during recover he would get around 30mins. We’re now back to pre-op exercise levels, but we still have a much more active dog.
Is there anything I can do about it? It’s a pain in the ass trying to scoop soft wet poop from the sidewalk.
I don’t really care about size, but I work a lot, so it would be very helpful with a dog that is not big size, as others will have to go for a walk / watch it for me as well.
